Flood/Antiques/River Property

I was visiting Rena, except she lived in my Nana's house. In the middle of the house there was a well. It had gone dry and Matt was digging deeper to get to water. I took a look and dug just a centimeter more and water began seeping through. I was there alone with the kids and all of the sudden the front corner of the house began to move. The ground under it was saturated with water and was breaking this part of the house off. It was easy enough to get off that section. The room slowly drifted towards the river that was behind the house. Once it hit the river it floated and hit a sand bar. I was able to tie it off so that it would not go any further down the river. There were lots of people on or near the river and I was worried about some of the antiques that were in that portion of the house being stolen but I went back to the house. After a while, I looked out the window and saw that half of the rest of the house was breaking away and drifting towards the river. Now there was an out right flood. Me and the kids were in that section of the house, and I managed to get all of the kids, and the dog off of that section as it went towards the river. Once it got there it also floated but it was faster now with the flood. It quickly floated downstream out of site. Also there were two men on jet skis who had tied ropes to the other portion of the house and were now trying to steal it. At first I thought they were trying to help but they were just thieves. When Rena got back, what part of the house was left had been flooded and all her antiques were ruined. She was so distraught about where she was going to live and what she was going to do now. I pointed out that she had insurance so she didn't have to worry too much financially, though it wouldn't cover everything. We also realized that there was a two story two bedroom house on the back of her property, closer to the river. She said yeah, but it was old and full of junk, it was more of a storage place. We went back there and started looking through the house. Indeed it was dusty, and in need of a good cleaning. However it was full, to the point of warehouse proportions, of antiques even better and more interesting than those she had lost. In fact the antiques she lost were not hers, and these were. Some of them were growing mold but not to the point of ruin. We also found a gold rimmed mirror, as well as some other gold guilded furniture. We also realized how cute this house was and that it would serve her needs well. She was happy and content.

Sherri and Todd were looking to buy some property. Sheri and I were driving around in a golf cart looking at different land. We saw an areal view of a property that followed along a river. It was beautiful and lush. We decided to try and go see it, and hope that the golf cart would make it that far, about an hour away. If not, Jon and Todd would find us an pick us up. On the way, we stopped by a garage sale which my Uncle Terry and my cousins were running. We headed off to the property and when we got there, it was literally the river. The land for sale was the river and the land, forest directly on either side of it. Though it was beautiful and fertile, there was only one spot to build a house and it was not very large, and it was too close to a subdivision and to the river.
